Sharlene Stanford

Operations Officer

Sharlene Stanford works for the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Inc., a local non-profit organization in Orlando. As a family law attorney, Sharlene handles family law and domestic violence related cases. She provides direct legal representation in all of the family law areas that LAS handles. She serves as a VOCA attorney and conducts intakes, community education, and outreach.

Sharlene is a Florida native born and raised in Orlando. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science from the University of Central Florida and a minor in Legal Studies. She then attended Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville where she was a member and secretary of the Mock Trial Team, Ambassador for the law school, and served as the Director of Membership for the National Black Law Students Association. She graduated with a Pro Bono Award and was also the recipient of the Best Oral Advocate Award in her legal research course.

Sharlene is an active member of the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers and currently serves on their Executive Board. She also serves on the Board of the Young Lawyers Section of the Orange County Bar Association. Outside of work, Sharlene loves serving her community and mentoring law school students.

Promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality embodies her personal mission and she is very passionate about helping others. Sharlene loves spending time with her family and is the proud Auntie of her adorable niece Sophia and her nephew Sammy
